I'm Matias — a 24-year-old Full Stack Engineer from Buenos Aires. I graduated asIngeniero en Informatica from UADE and currently work atDespegar, where I build the search experience used by millions of travelers across Latin America.

Soy Matias — Ingeniero Full Stack de 24 años de Buenos Aires. Me recibí deIngeniero en Informática en UADE y actualmente trabajo enDespegar, donde construyo la experiencia de búsqueda usada por millones de viajeros en Latinoamérica.

Before engineering, I worked as anIT Auditor at EY, evaluating cybersecurity controls and system architecture for enterprise clients. That experience gave me something most developers don't have: a systematic understanding of how systems fail, how security breaks, and how to think about risk at an architectural level.

Antes de ingeniería, trabajé comoAuditor de IT en EY, evaluando controles de ciberseguridad y arquitectura de sistemas para grandes clientes. Esa experiencia me dio algo que la mayoría de los desarrolladores no tienen: un entendimiento sistemático de cómo fallan los sistemas, cómo se quiebra la seguridad y cómo pensar el riesgo a nivel arquitectónico.

Outside of work, I build and ship products independently — and I run them myself, on my own server:La Brecha, a public observatory of Argentine economic indicators;Conseguilo, a job-hunting SaaS with ATS-ready CVs and AI matching;Respondi, a platform for AI agents on WhatsApp and Telegram; andGastronova, a SaaS for restaurant management. I believe the best way to grow as an engineer is to own the full lifecycle — from idea to architecture to production, including the part where it has to keep running.

Fuera del trabajo construyo y lanzo productos propios — y los opero yo, en mi propio servidor:La Brecha, un observatorio público de indicadores económicos argentinos;Conseguilo, un SaaS de búsqueda laboral con CVs ATS y match con IA;Respondi, una plataforma de agentes IA sobre WhatsApp y Telegram; yGastronova, un SaaS para gestión gastronómica. Creo que la mejor forma de crecer como ingeniero es ser dueño de todo el ciclo — desde la idea a la arquitectura a producción, incluida la parte en la que tiene que seguir funcionando.
